From the first bell to the last bus.

Ummia runs the whole day of an Iraqi school: attendance, marks, fees, salaries and the school bus. One dashboard for the office, and an app in your school’s own name for teachers, parents, students and drivers.

Walk around a full demo school with no sign-up. It starts a fresh day every night.

Tuesday morning at Ummia’s demo school, 06:45 to 07:52.

One school day, hour by hour.

Every account sees only its own part of the day, on the dashboard or in the app.

  1. 06:50Driver

    One button starts the trip.

The driver sees one screen: the trip, one big button and a card for each child. Parents follow the bus on the map only while the trip is running.

  2. 07:18Parent

Picked up, and the parent already knows.

Two big buttons per child: picked up or absent. The news reaches the parent’s phone in the same second, and the parent sees the school’s number, never the driver’s.

  3. 07:45Teacher

The register in under a minute.

Mark everyone present, then tap the few who aren’t: absent, late or excused. A QR code that changes every lecture lets students check themselves in.

  4. 08:30Manager

Every register, the moment it closes.

The school’s attendance fills in section by section. The manager sees which registers are still open and opens any of them in one click.

  5. 12:10Accountant

Dinars or dollars, at the day’s rate.

Each payment keeps the exchange rate of the day it was recorded, so changing the rate tomorrow never changes today’s receipt. Receipts print in Arabic, Kurdish or English.

  6. 13:40Staff

Clocked out at school, not from home.

Teachers and staff clock in and out from their phones within 100 metres of the school. Further away, the app tells them how far they are, and the attempt is logged.

  7. 18:00Parent

Marks when the school publishes them.

Quiz grades arrive as soon as they’re saved; exam results wait until the school publishes them together. A missed exam reads “absent” or “excused”, never a bare zero.

  8. 21:00Everyone

    Quiet hours.

From nine at night to seven in the morning, students and parents can’t message teachers, and the app tells them when they can. The school sets the hours.

Your school’s own app, in the stores.

Every school gets its own app on the App Store and Google Play, with its own name, logo and colours. Parents download your school, not a platform, and Ummia runs underneath, updating every school’s app at once.

Try it with your school’s name
School colour
  • Your school’s name and logo on the app icon and the splash screen.
  • Your school’s colours throughout the app.
  • We publish it for you, so you don’t need a store account.

Three languages, both directions.

Each person picks their language and the app turns with it, right-to-left or left-to-right. Digits are the same in every language, so receipts always match.

Everything a school runs on.

Only the features your school needs are switched on for it, and switching one off hides it without deleting its data.

𒌝𒈪𒀀
um-mi-a ummia in cuneiform

A name from Sumer.

The name Ummia comes from the Sumerians: the head of the school was called the ummia, meaning “the expert” or “the master teacher”.

Your school’s data stays your school’s.

  • Each school sees only its own records, and every request is checked against its school.
  • Roles decide what each account sees: accountants never see marks, and teachers see only their own pay.
  • Location is used only at the moment of check-in, a driver’s position only during a trip, and trip routes are deleted after 90 days.
  • Before their first chat, the app tells every family that the school’s manager can read school chats.
  • Every payment and every voided payment is logged with who did it and when, and every register keeps who took it.
  • Switching a feature off only hides it; no record is deleted.

Pricing is agreed with each school.

Either one may be zero, depending on your school's size and needs.

Questions managers ask

Does the app work offline?

Partly. If the connection drops while a teacher takes the register, the marks stay on the phone and Save sends them once it is back.

Can we import our data from Excel?

Yes, for students: download the CSV template, fill it in Excel and upload it.

Can a parent with three children use one account?

Yes. One parent account covers all their children in the school and switches between them with a tap.

Do we need an App Store or Google Play account?

No. We publish your school’s app for you, under your school’s name.

How are USD salaries handled?

Every salary and every payment keeps the exchange rate of the day it was entered, so a later rate change never shifts it.

Do we need special hardware?

No. Any phone or computer is enough.

See it in your school.
